Estate Planning & Probate

Protect your family, your property, and your wishes

An estate plan decides who receives your property, who manages your affairs if you can’t, and who makes medical decisions on your behalf. When a loved one passes, probate or trust administration carries those decisions out under court and statutory rules.

Estate planning is the largest and fastest-growing part of our practice. Our attorneys have also closed over 4,500 Florida real estate transactions, totaling more than $1 billion, and that deed and title experience guides our estate planning and probate work. Homestead, deeds, and title are handled correctly from the start, not fixed after the fact.

Frequently asked questions
Most plans include a will or revocable living trust, a durable power of attorney, a designation of health care surrogate, and a living will. Homeowners may also consider a lady bird deed or trust deed for their Florida home.
Documents from another state are often still valid, but Florida’s homestead rules, witness requirements, and power-of-attorney statute differ from other states. A review after becoming a Florida resident is strongly recommended.
Yes. Our office is in Bradenton and we work most often in Manatee and Sarasota counties, but we handle Florida probate and trust matters statewide, including ancillary administrations for out-of-state families.
Estate planning consultations are free. A simple will is a flat $750 and a simple revocable trust is a flat $1,500, with a discount when you combine services. More complex plans are quoted at the free consultation, so you know the cost before you engage the firm.
